रोटरी क्लब कुनै राजनीतिक संगठन होइन, तर प्रत्येक रोटरीयन एक सचेत नागरिकको हैसियतले जनताको जनजीवन संग प्रत्यक्ष सरोकार राख्ने संस्थामा सुयोग्य तथा असल व्यक्ति पुगुन भन्ने बिषयमा सदैव चिन्तनशील रहनेछ । रोटरी क्लब कसैलाई दान दिनलाई मात्रै स्थापना गरिएको संस्था पनि होइन । तथापी यस संस्थाले आफ्नो क्रियाकलापको मध्यमबाट दिन दुःखि तथा असहायहरुलाई सेवा तथा सहयोग पुर्याउने कार्यमा उदारणीय तथा अनुकरणीय कार्य गर्दछ ।
रोटरी क्लब धार्मिक संस्था पनि होइन, तर यो संस्था युगौ देखी सबैलाई नैतिक शिक्षा प्रदान गर्ने पवित्र सिद्धान्तहरुबाट भने अवश्यै पनि अभिप्रेरित रहेको छ । रोटरी एक व्यसायिक तथा व्यापारिक क्षेत्रमा अगुवाई गर्ने व्यक्तिहरुको यस्तो संस्था हो जुन संस्था व्यसायिक तथा व्यापारिक स्तरलाई उच्च मर्यदयुक्त बिन्दुमा पुर्याउन आफ्नो स्थापना काल देखी नै प्रयत्नशील रहदै आएको छ ।
विश्व व्यापी भाइचारा तथा शान्ति भन्ने कुरा व्यसायिक तथा व्यापारिक वर्ग एकै थलोमा बसी सामुहिक प्रयास गरेमा सम्भव छ भन्ने कुरामा रोटरीयनहरु विश्वास राख्दछन् । तपाई (हरु) को क्रियाकलाप तथा तपाईहरुले गर्दै आउनु भएको व्यवसायको विशेषतालाई उच्च मुल्यांकन गर्दै तपाईहरुलाई हामीले यस क्लबको सदस्यको लागि छानेका हौ । यसै गरि आउदा दिनहरुमा तपाई (हरु)को आफ्नो व्यवसायको मध्यमबाट तथा तपाईहरुको व्यक्तिगत क्रियाकलाप बाट समेत रोटरीको पवित्र उदेश्य पूर्तिमा अवश्य सहयोग तथा योगदान मिल्नेछ भन्ने हामीले अपेक्ष राखेका छौ र हामी विश्वस्त पनि छौ ।
तपाई (हरु) लाई क्लबको लागि आ–आफ्नो व्यसायको प्रतिनिधिका रुपमा हामी ग्रहण गर्दछौ । क्लबमा तपाईहरुको व्यवसाय सम्बन्धी कुनै पनि कुरा तपाईहरु मार्फत आउने छ भन्ने आशा राख्दछौ । साथै आफ्नो विषयगत क्षेत्रमा तपाई (हरु) क्लबको राजदुतका रुपमा कार्यरत रहनु भै आ–आफ्नो व्यसायको मार्फत क्लबको हरेको क्रियाकलापमा सक्रिय सहयोग समेत पुर्याउनु हुनेछ भन्ने आशा एवं विश्वास लिएका छौ ।

तपाईहरुको साथ पाएर क्लबका सबै सदस्यहरुले आफुलाई सच्चा रोटरीयनको रुपमा प्रस्तुत गर्ने अभिप्रेरणा पाईरहने छ भन्ने आशा गर्दै तपाई(हरु)लाई रोटरीको पिन प्रदान गरि दिनुहुन हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछु ।
साथसाथै रोटरीका केहि पुस्तकहरु पनि तपाई(हरु)लाई हस्तान्तरण गरि दिन हुन _____________ लाई अनुरोध गर्दछु । आशा छ यी पुस्तकहरुको मध्यमबाट रोटरी सम्बन्धि केहि ज्ञान हासिल गर्नु हुने छ ।
तपाई(हरु)लाई क्लबले प्रदान गर्ने परिचय पत्र तथा आज प्रदान गरिएको पिन तपाई(हरु) रोटरीयन भएको परिचय हुनेछ । संसारको कुनै पनि रोटरी क्लबको बैठकमा उपस्तिथ हुनको लागि यो परिचय पत्र पर्याप्त हुनेछ ।
रोटरीयन साथीहरु आज तपाईहरुका सामु नयाँ रोटरीयन ______________ (नयाँ सदस्य (हरु) को नाम) साथी (हरु) प्रस्तुत गर्न पाउदा मैले साह्रै खुशी लागेको छ । एक चोटी सबैले ताली बजाएर वहा(हरु)लाई रोटरी परिवारमा स्वागत गरि दिनुहुन अनुरोध गर्दछु ।
