On 25th Jan 2020, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in coordination with Panchkhal Municipality supported 1275 Sanitary Pad Kits (reusable and can be used up-to 3 years) along with Mensuration Health Training to 13 secondary Schools of Panchkhal. Chief Guest of the program Deputy Mayor Mrs. Laxmi Danuwar said girls shouldn’t hesitate to talk about mensuration as it is natural process. She said still women are using old clothes,rags and disposable pad. Past President Rtn. Laxmi Khanal requested local government should promote reusable pad as it is environment friendly and economical in long run. Mayor of the Panchkhal Municipality Mr. Mahesh Kharel thanks Rotary Club of Dhulikhel for continues support especially Past President Rtn. Ranjeev Shrestha who has continuously supporting Panchkhal Municipality since many years. This is the part of global grant GG1747475 with international partner Rotary Club of Albuquerque Del Sol (including Rotary Club of El Paso, Rotary Club of Rio Rancho, Rotary club of Albuquerque Sandia, Rotary Club of Alamogordo, Rotary Club of Albuquerque, Rotary Club of Taos-Milagro, District 5520-USA & The Rotary Foundation. So far 3000 kits has been supported at different schools of Nepal.
